- Of the children served within Family Preservation, over 90% are able to remain in their homes safely.
- Written regulations for all DHR operated In-Home Family Preservation Services have been developed and are in process of being finalized and incorporated into Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR).
- A committee to write a statewide policy manual has been initiated.
- A review of all 24 jurisdictions has been completed through both record reviews and meetings with administrators and staff representatives of each local department of social services. Through this process, there has been attention to identify trends, practice and training needs, and gaps in service.
- Standardized forms across the span of all in-home services have been initiated and have been distributed for use in year 2000.
