Internship Opportunities at MORA

One way to begin a government career is through an internship, which allows students immediate access to professionals who help shape government policy and legislation. Internships at the Maryland Office for Refugees and Asylees provide insights into the domestic workings of refugee resettlement, a program with international reach and local implications that gives victims of intimidation and violence from throughout the world a new start in American communities.

Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. In consultation with their faculty advisers and MORA staff, students may consider independent study placement. Undergraduates may apply independently or through the Governor’s Summer Internship Program, an initiative designed to encourage careers in public service. Although assignment to MORA is not guaranteed, MORA makes every attempt to place well qualified and interested students.
